XCOM 2 is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the award-winning strategy game of 2012.

The earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders ended the war with aliens by signing an act of unconditional surrender. XCOM, our planet's last line of defense, has been decimated and shattered. Now, in XCOM 2, the Earth is ruled by aliens. They build shining cities in which they propose a bright future for humanity, but under this guise hide their terrible plans, and anyone who opposes the new order is ruthlessly liquidated.

Only those living outside the society enjoy a modicum of freedom. They are the forces that will once again stand up to fight in defense of humanity. The relentlessly hunted remnants of XCOM must revive the global resistance, unmask the occupation's activities, and get rid of the aliens once and for all.
