Marry for political gain, raise heirs and build relationships with the noble families of your kingdom . For in the cruel, inexorable world of monarchs, there is nothing stronger than family ties.

• Four noble families live in each of the 7 kingdoms. Give them the city and they will repay you with many blessings.
• Influence families through events, activities and marriages. A happy family will not remain in debt, and a disgruntled or too powerful family will turn your life into a nightmare.
• Create a strong family or be distracted by scandalous adventures.

STRONG PERSONALITIES

The world is full of outstanding personalities with their own characters, strengths and weaknesses. They will help you lay the foundations of your empire, defend it from enemies, and build relationships with other rulers.

• Seek and recruit renowned warriors, philosophers, builders, and more. Give your children a mentor, armies a general, and yourself a trusted advisor.
• Courtiers with different personality traits will be able to perform different tasks in similar roles. Learn how to take full advantage of the strengths of governors, diplomats, spies, and even your soulmate.
• Characters change, gain experience, age, and finally die, making way for the next generations.

Don't feel like playing by the usual principles? Old World offers a fresh take on key elements of the 4X strategy genre:

• Go beyond traditional resources. Buildings are made of wood and stone, not "industry units". And the population is growing not only thanks to "food".
• Orders are a universal resource for the entire game universe. Units move more than once per turn, until they get tired or until orders run out.
• The development of technology is not predetermined. Randomly generating a tech tree makes every playthrough unique.
• Quality of life improvements such as the ability to cancel an erroneous command or nested hints will help you make informed decisions.
• A lot of online modes are available for you and your friends : for example, hotseat, asynchronous mode or playing through the cloud.
