Choi Ji-won, game director of the dark action role-playing game Lies of P, spoke to Japan's 4Gamer about how the game's development is nearing completion.
Back in August, Lies of P was about 70% complete. Since then, it looks like the team has made a lot of progress and is now mostly focused on polishing, fixing bugs, and making final adjustments.
Recall that Lies Of P tells a kind of rethinking of the story of Pinocchio, where the hero fights against terrible machines, while suffering from his own lies. The project is often compared to Bloodborne, and the game director has already said that he is pleased with such a reaction, but still, the initial similarity to the FromSoftware game can be called accidental.
In a recent interview with 4Gamer, Ji-Won stated that Lies of P's visuals are unique in the gaming industry. According to him, not a single game has yet received a setting in the gloomy atmosphere of the Belle Epoque era.
Ji-Won also revealed that the decision to use the story of Pinocchio for the game was partly due to the desire to make the project more attractive and visible to users.
