Fans have found files in the Spider-Man data hinting at a possible integration of PSN accounts with ports of Sony games on PC.
It is assumed that Sony will allow players to link accounts to certain projects, offering in-game bonuses as a reward for such actions. So far, the company's previously released games on the PC do not have such an opportunity.
Among the Spider files are "PSNAccountLinked", "PSNLinkingEntitlements" and "PSN Linking bonuses" - it is possible that Insomniac only planned to create a similar system, but later abandoned this idea
However, earlier Sony opened a new section of its site dedicated to PC games, so the integration theory may also turn out to be true. The section mentioned that "currently, a PSN account" is not required to play games on PC - but it may be needed in the future.
Some Xbox games on Steam, for example, require an Xbox Live account - Forza Horizon 5, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and so on.
