Lollipop Chainsaw is getting a full remake in 2023. The official name of the game and platform have not yet been announced.
It is reported that a team consisting of the developers of the original game, including Yoshimi Yasuda, and employees of Dragami Games is working on the project.
According to Yasuda, the remake will feature several key differences from the original, as well as more realistic graphics. The game's soundtrack will include new music, all due to track licensing issues.
Recall that recently Lollipop Chainsaw turned ten years old. The developers of the original value their brainchild very much, so they did not want to leave it “in limbo” - when many players simply do not have the opportunity to try out the project. They bought the IP from Kadokawa Games and decided to make a remake. It is reported that Warner Bros. also supports the team in its endeavor.
