CD Pojekt Red has announced the start of work on a remake of the first game in The Witcher series. The masterpiece, originally created on BioWare's Aurora engine, will be rebuilt on Unreal Engine 5. At a recent announcement, this very project was referred to under the code name Canis Majoris.
The game is currently in the early stages of development at the Polish studio Fool's Theory - veterans of the Witcher series are involved in the project. CD Pojekt Red promises full creative oversight with the utmost care and attention to detail.
The terms and details are not discussed yet. The Witcher website promises to keep fans of the game informed about the progress of development.
