A 10-minute video leaked online revealing a new Overwatch 2 character named Kiriko. The mention of the hero was also noticed on the Battle.net website, along with some details of the battle pass. The text below has now also been removed:
With the Premium Season 1 Battle Pass, you can unlock over 80 tiers of rewards, including Mythic Cyber Demon Genji, Legendary Hinotori Kiriko, and more. Plus, as a Season One Premium Battle Pass owner, you'll automatically have access to Overwatch's latest hero, Kiriko!
Many users immediately expressed concern about the fact that only owners of premium versions of the battle pass can receive automatic access to new fighters. Others will either have to pay for them or unlock them as they progress through the free pass tiers.
However, Overwatch commercial director and Blizzard vice president John Spector was quick to reassure fans. He pointed out that the description is not complete, and new characters will be available in the free version of the battle pass.
