The Polygon portal, as part of summing up the results of the outgoing 2022, compiled a selection of fifty of the best games of this (and not only) year according to the editors.
Despite the fact that journalists gave the first position to Elden Ring, the rest of the places even in the top ten were distributed in an unexpected way. So, the text role-playing game Citizen Sleeper took the second place. On the third is located the adventure detective The Case of the Golden Idol, which passed almost unnoticed by the mass audience.
In terms of PlayStation exclusives, the recent God of War: Ragnarok ranked 10th, Gran Turismo 7 came in at 34th, and Horizon Forbidden West is content with 40th position. Of the other notable releases of the year: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope at #14, Cult of the Lamb at #18, while Stray, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Splatoon 3 took positions from 31 to 33 respectively.
