Telltale Studios announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round. The developers managed to raise $8 million thanks to the support of the Hiro Capital fund. At the same time, part of the money was allocated by Skybound Entertainment.
Telltale has previously collaborated with Skybound, with the support of the company, the Walking Dead series of games was released. After the closure of Telltale in 2018, these games were withdrawn from sale and returned only a couple of years later.
The new funding is intended to prepare the release of The Expanse: A Telltale Series, which is due out this summer. The money will also go towards the development of The Wolf Among Us 2 and another game that has yet to be announced.
