People mentioned that Capcom removed Denuvo anti-piracy protection from the horror Resident Evil Village. The game received an update, and now there is no mention of Denuvo on its Steam page, and the size of the executable file has noticeably decreased (from 622 to 209 megabytes).
At the same time, there is no official description of the update at the moment, but in the discussions on Steam, players are actively discussing the removal of Denuvo.
The release of Resident Evil Village was in May 2021 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. By the end of 2022, horror sales exceeded 7.4 million copies.
