A new financial report from publisher Nacon mentioned a fresh release window for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
Previously, the release date was a vague "2023", but now the first half of the next fiscal year (2023-2024) is mentioned. In other words, we are talking about the period from April to September, perhaps the summer months.
In a stealth project set in the Lord of the Rings universe, players will take on the role of Gollum, who is trying to regain his "charm". The character will have to hide from enemies and even famous characters from the popular franchise. In addition, in the process it will be possible to make decisions based on the two sides of the character's personality.
The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and will later also appear on the Nintendo Switch. The same report noted that the publisher's revenue from games in the third quarter of the year (22/23) amounted to 41.1 million euros (19.6% lower than last year), and a total of 20 projects.
